Figurative:  This amazing car is so fast it's more likely the the fastest car in the world and it's so shiny like a shiney gold medal, the color of it can never fade that's how cool the colour is. The car’s wheel does smokey burnouts to create thick clouds to save people from getting sunburn in the sun. It’s chairs in the car is smooth as baby skin it also has beautiful protection windows for people who try to attack you, The car is bullet proof exactly the same with the wheels. The last thing that this amazing car can do it can fly.

Hello Glen Innes school I'm guessing you should know who I am. But for all those who don't know me yet, my name is Usain Bolt and I'm from jamaica also I am the fastest man in the world. if you saw my race at the Olympics in 2012 at London I got the record for the 100m men sprints.

By the way when I was a kid like you guys my family was very broke I always had to go school with no shoes and lunch. I continually thought I was going to be a professional soccer player but as I got older I started to think twice about being a professional soccer player. The reason why I thought twice was because ever since I was 13 years old I was the fastest boy in my entire school. As I got older my fastness and fitness got better and better so that's when I started to forget soccer and focused on being a sprinter to represent Jamaica in the Olympics.

In addition when the 100m sprints trials was on a lot of men showed up to trial and that’s when I thought I wasn't going to make it. But at the end they called names out and my name were one of them, when they told us we made it. My family was very happy proud of me because the way I grew up was not looking good.

In conclusion if you like playing sports or if you're good at playing sports don’t always focus on one sport try new things then you're properly find the correct talent for you.

Secondhand Smoking

TITLE: Secondhand smoking is harmful to.

Imagine that smoking did not exist, that will be a really peaceful world. As you can see that’s why I’m here today to talk to you about secondhand smoking just about the same as smoking but 2 times worst. Kia ora my name is Kaufana and ever since 1865 to 2016 smoking has still been all over the world.

Do you really want people still smoking around the world because in 2014 about 1 billion people were smokers, which is nearly 20% of the world. So if you see people smoking please don’t be shy about telling them not to smoke around kids  neither don't be shy telling them to quit smoking because if you don’t you're letting the world down.

In my opinion I think secondhand smoking is dangerous to anyone who breathes it in especially kids. For example imagine a classroom full of preschoolers and a teacher smoking inside with no care about the young ones. What if you were one of them would you feel OK with that. Beside this is another way to die in your early ages. As evidence, one of my family members has been threw almost dying in his early ages because of smoking.

That is why I need you guys to tell people to quit smoking, what do you think? Do you guys agree because if you don't you are making a huge mistake not only that it’s because you are letting us down.This is probably the only way I could help by stopping people to smoke. According to CDC, secondhand smoking harms children and adults and the only way to fully protect nonsmokers is to eliminate smoking in all homes, work sites, and public places.

In the past years my step dad has finally stopped smoking because of the sickness he went threw and now he is trying his best to stop his own friends from smoking not only that he saves

more money than before.

In conclusion when you grow up please don’t secondhand smoke in front of your kids or your family because if you do there is more chance of you dying in your early ages.

A you struggling on knowing your angles of by heart because here is a game that can really help you. Today in maths I  played a math game called Alien Angles, This game is are challenging game for all those who don’t know there angles of by heart like myself. When I played this game I struggled a lot but when I kept practicing I started to get better and better. If the Zoo designer game is to hard try this game because I think it’s more simple.  This game can help you by knowing your areas and perimeters  just like the game Zoo designer but more simple so if you need help this is the game to play. Today in math time I played this math game called Zoo designer. If you haven’t played this game, this is a good chance to play it. This game is all about area ‘s and perimeter’s in maths so if you need help in any of them play this game and it will increase your math knowledge about area and perimeter. When I was playing this game I was struggling but when my friends helped me I got better and better and that’s why I got gold. Today in maths I played this very fun maths game called caterpillar slider. This game can help you by putting numbers in order, smallest to biggest. If you're not really good with ordering smallest to biggest, play  this game because it can help you alot.  When I played this game I got a couple of them wrong but when I kept practicing and went back to the game I got all of them right I was so happy and determined. If you need help with shapes this is a perfect game to play. Speedstar

WALT: Write a narrative story using a picture prompt.

SUCCESS CRITERIA

Early in the morning cleaning my dirty garden I hear my dog Speedstar barking, “whof, whof, whof,.” When I turned I stared at him and he was doing all sorts of impressive moves. It looked wonderful and scary. After that I told him to come and I said to him that we were going to buy another dog so that you can play with. He was happy and excited so he went crazy and jumping around.

When it was the next day I got up early in the morning and cleaned the garden again, I turned to look for Speedstar my dog but I couldn't find him. When I went to the backyard I saw him flying in the air I was shocked my face started to blush. In addition when he landed to the ground I ran to him and gave him a huge hug.While I was talking to him I told him where did he get his flying moves from he didn't reply. So I said to him to go do it again but when he did he failed and fell down he was badly hurt so I ran to call the vet. Before that I told him he will be okay.

In a few months later my dog came back and he was happy. When he saw me he ran as fast as he could to get to me. Straight after that I gave him a huge hug. The moral for this story is to always keep your dog safe and that they may always have fun with you. Thank you very much for listening/reading I really hope you learned something.

Today in the morning I played this game called Equivalent fractions. What I learned from it is how to solve  Equivalent fractions, it was quite challenging but I got the hang of it. As I was walking towards my room I got lazier and lazier, it just felt like I was about to faint.

When I open my door I was so shocked because somehow my room got filthy. It had stinky socks, spiders in every corner on the ceiling,dirty clothes lying around and toys every where.

I was so upset because I was really in a tired/lazy mood. Straight after that I ran to my mum and asked her how my room got untidy, she was just minding her own business and carried on with her Facebook. In addition I went back to my room, all of a sudden I saw my sister's toys lying around, so that gave me a clue.

After that I sneaked to her room and slowly opened her door when I saw her she tried to fake sleep, but I just caught her.  When I was waking her up she wouldn't wake up, so I just tickled her then she giggled and giggled. While we were talking I asked her if she was the one who made my room grimy, all of a sudden she didn't reply so I asked again and she still didn't reply.

When I heard my dad arrived I rushed to him to tell him to tell him. What happen next my sister grabbed me by the shirt and told me to not tell dad and if you don’t i’ll clean your room she said.

So I was so surprised when I told her to clean the room and if she doesn't I would have told my dad. She was furious but she had ended up cleaning the room. At the end of her cleaning she told me to close my eyes and follow her, in that moment I felt shocked. When I got there she told me to open my eye’s when She is finish counting up to 10. So she started 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 SURPRISE she said . I looked around and it looked fabulous I gave her a huge hug and I said thank you.

This morning on the 1st of april I played this game called Puzzle Pics Fractions. When I first played this game, it was pretty easy because I knew a lot about fractions. Math Hoops 11/3/16

This morning in room 7 I played this game called Math Hoops. I got 10 out of 10 it was quite easy because I tried my hardest to get 10 out of 10. But if you don't know your multiplication and addition facts I really think you will  struggle. Hope you have fun playing this game.

14 x 2 = 28

28 + 33 = 61

33 divided by 3 = $11 for each children

2. For 4 days of the week the zoo has a concession for schools. $10 each for the first 100 children and then $12 each for the others. What would a school pay if there are 127 children?

10 x 100 = 1000

12 x 27 = 324

1000 + 324= 1324

3. On a Friday evening the zoo has a special rate for school children:for every paid 7 children 2 get to go in free. What would it cost a school with 147 children?

147 divided by 9 = 16 r3

11 x 3 = 33

16 x 7 = 122

12 x 11 = 1232

1232 + 33 = 1265

Today I played a mathelitics game called speed skills and it was kind of challenging. The first time I played it I struggled, but after few attempts I got the hang of it. There was a lot of pressure on the game because you only had 1 minute. The way to play this game is you have to answer as much questions as you can until the time is over.
