Candy Floss

On Wednesday the sport camp children got a chance to make candy floss to fund raise for our sport camp. We had loads of fun twisting and packaging the candy floss, we raised $300 and each candy floss cost $1. It was lucky because we did not have to pay for the candy floss machine also the sugar and bags. Thank you very much skids for donating the staff for our fund raising. At the end of the day a lot of children enjoyed it, they had a fun time eating their candy floss.    

Problem Solving

Last week we have been solving problems with our math strategies. The three question I finished was pretty hard but I still finished it with a little bit of help. The next questions were easy because I knew them. Next I want problems like fractions and multiplication so that I can better scores on my test.

WW1 3 sententces

This week Room 12 and I have been writing about this picture. When our class was writing about this picture the first thing we had to do is write three sentences about this picture. After we chose our three words we had to write three powerful sentences. When these men went to war they got shot and some got blown up from grenades. Men suffered and died. The men who were in World War One missed their family and their wife. I think all the men who went to World War One for New Zealand were brave men and heroes.

F.I.O book one years 7-8 Week 2

This term my group has been working on figure it out and one of the activities in the book is planting with the whanau. This activity is about using your timetables and division. Second activity is about this girl  trying her hardest to win the fund raising. In this different activity you have to use skip counting in tens for an example
10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100. And thats all I learned on this figure it out book.

   

Measuring

Today after our math statistic test we had to write about what we learned on measuring. We had to use the protractor to find out the measurement if it is right or wrong. I think learning about measuring could help you get a job in the future.

Brainie

Today I was playing a Game called Brainie in math class. To play this game you need to add the numbers on the side. Also there is a clock which you will have to be fast at adding and subtracting the numbers. When you have finished you can check your score. I think this game helps you at addition. Today I was learning about equivalent fractions. To play this fraction game you have to drag the equivalent fraction to the branches and if you get it wrong you have to try again. I think this game will help you know your fractions also when you play this game I hope you enjoy it.
